Dobromir Ivanov
CEO of BESCO
Dobromir Ivanov is the Executive Director of BESCO – the Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Association, which represents over 500 Bulgarian tech companies. Over the past six years, BESCO has launched numerous initiatives to promote policies aimed at improving the country’s economy. Some of BESCO's key achievements include the introduction of the Startup Visa and the Variable Capital Company into Bulgarian legislation.
Dobromir also serves as Chairman of the Managing Board of ABLE (Association of Bulgarian Leaders and Entrepreneurs) and is the co-founder of the first Bulgarian Advocacy Academy, powered by AUBG in partnership with BESCO. He has specialized in entrepreneurship and innovation at UC Berkeley and Babson College. His entrepreneurial experience includes founding the largest online bus ticket sales platform in Bulgaria at the time. In 2017, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Economy during the caretaker government led by Professor Ognyan Gerdzhikov.
